How Long is the commitment?
For as long as you'd like. Our system will charge your card monthly until you decide to increase or otherwise. Just let us know and we'll take care of it.
Where does this money go towards?
Overhead. Our goal is to cover individual programs with fees and sponsorships, and to cover overhead with Chai Club and membership.
Doesn't Chabad have lots of money?
Each Chabad center is LOCALLY funded. We do not get any major funding from Chabad HQ, and each center is individually managed and funded. We're extremely grateful for your partnership.
What if I wish to change the amount of my monthly contribution?
You are welcome to change the amount at any time. Simply call, send a letter or email us and we will be glad to assist you.
What if there’s a change with my credit card or my card has expired?
Please call us or email us a note informing us that you changed credit cards and we’ll update the information.
When will contributions be withdrawn from my account?
Charges take place monthly on the same day of the month when you initially fill out the form. If you prefer a different day, let us know and we will accommodate accordingly.
Note: if the first falls on a weekend or legal holiday the withdrawals will occur on the following business day.
What do I use for tax purposes?
We will be mailing you a giving receipt at the beginning of each year with your total donations from the previous year. If at any time you would like a summary of your contributions, please contact us and we would be glad to send one to you.
Do I need to pledge each year to renew my Chai partnership?
No, your monthly draft will continue at the current level unless you’d like to change it or cancel.
