The Megilla of Esther tells us that, "the jews found relief from their enemies and these days (Purim) were transformed for them from sorrow to joy, from mourning to holiday, making them days of feasting and joy, days for friends to exchange gifts of food."
The Shul is proud to present the PURIM GIFT EXCHANGE PROGRAM.  This program will help the Shul family observe an important Mitzvah of Purim which this year will be celebrated on
Wednesday, March 7 - Thursday, March 8, 2012.
About the Program
Once again this year, The Shul will prepare Purim Gifts/Shalach Manos to be delivered to the Shul friends and family.  You will have the opportunity to select names from our list to whom you would like to send a Purim Gift/Shalach Manos and we will deliver them for you on Purim.
What is sent?
Each recipient will receive one beautiful Purim Guft/Shalach Manos accompanied by a scroll listing the names and greetings of all those sending to that recipient.
How does it work?
The Shul website has a direct link to the Purim Gift/Shalach Manos website called PurimProject.com. You will receive a unique username and password. Their website is secure, easy to navigate and fun to use.
What is the cost?

Again this year, Category selections are available. Choose your group and send gifts to everyone in that group with a single click, at a low Category price.
$254 for "Select All". By selecting this option, you will be sending Purim Gifts/ Shalach Manos to everyone on the Shul Friends and Family List.
$2 for each name sent in accordance with the reciprocity option (you'll read more about this option below).
$18 per Individual Selection
New this year, select 10 families or more (Individual Selections) and receive 50% discount.  Use the code 10ormore upon checking out.  Please note that this discount does not apply to Category selections.
When should I place my order?
All orders need to be placed prior to Friday, March 2, 2012.
We will deliver all Purim Gifts on Wednesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 8.
For those on the list that live out of town, we will ship the gifts in time to arrive on Purim.
Will I receive a Tax Receipt?
Tax receipts will be issued for orders of $36 or more.
What if someone is not on the list?
If we inadvertently omitted one of our families, please let us know by calling us at 248 788 4000
What if I wish to send a private Purim Gift/Shalach Manos to a friend or family member?

We are also offering the option of ordering a private Shalach Manos/Purim Gift. The order deadline for these will be Monday, February 27, 2012. They may be picked up on Friday, March 2, at The Shul Office. The cost of the Private Gift is $36 each.

The private Shalach Manos Gift option is a wonderful way to bring the joy of Purim to your children, parents, and friends who live out of town. We will ship your private, out of town packages at no additional cost (within the U.S.).
How can I make sure that I send Shalach Manos to everyone that sends me?
We are also pleased to offer a reciprocity opportunity.  This means that if there is someone who sends to you, but was not on your list, we will automatically add that individual to your list as well.  You will then be billed $2.00 for each gift sent on your behalf.  Be sure to check this option when you log on.
How can I help with this project?
If anyone would like to volunteer their time for this project please call the Shul or email Itty at Itty@theshul.net. You can also sign up on the website when placing your orders. Just go to the "Contact Us" icon or put a message in the "Notes" section and let us know. Any amount of help is always appreciated.
How do I place my order?
You will need your user name and password to place a Shalach Manos order.  Please call The Shul if you haven't received yours or if you have forgotten it.

All proceeds from the Purim Gift Exchange Program will go towards The Shul holiday celebration programs.
