Workshop 1 (3:00-3:45) 

Ellen Yashinsky Chute, LMSW, ACSW, is the Chief Clinical Officer at Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit. She oversees the departments of mental health and substance abuse counseling, adoption, mentoring, outpatient psychiatric services, and school social work services. Ellen is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, and the director of JCADA, a community coalition against domestic abuse. Ellen and her husband, Paul Chute are the He Said, She Said Relationship Experts and appear regularly in local media in that capacity. 

 

Dr. Eric Mintz of Synergy chiropractic provides chiropractic and neurofeedback services in West Bloomfield, MI. Specialties include ADHD, Insomnia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety Disorders, Neck & Back Pain, Stress Management, Fibromyalgia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Tension Headaches, Migraine Headaches, Memory Loss, Chronic Pain, Chronic Depression, and related services. He is nationally board certified and is the only chiropractor in Oakland County offering BrainCore Neurfeedback. 

One of the greatest joys of chiropractic for Dr. Eric is watching a child who comes into the office struggling with a particular health issues, regain their health and ability to heal, function, without the use of medication, antibiotics or surgery. He also serves as a public speaker and pediatric educator.

Dr. Eric maintains a private practice in West Bloomfield focusing on children and teens with ADHD, SPD, Autism, Sleep Issues and other Neurological Challenges. He has a passion for helping children and families live the happiest, healthiest life possible.

3. Drew W. Yanke: Building Resilience and Emotional/Social Awareness in Your Children 

Drew W. Yanke, M.A., LLP, is a psychotherapist and Adjunct Professor at Wayne State University-Psychology

 

 Workshop 2 (4:15-5:00)

Dr. Natasha Kendal, Phd is a licensed marriage and family therapist in West Bloomfield, MI. She specializes in intensive home based family therapy and parent coach. She teaches effective techniques and strategies to parent as well as reconnect as spouses and co-parents. 

In addition to working personally with dozens of families, Dr. Kendal has assembled an extensive referral network of dedicated and experienced professionals. Her team consists of pediatricians and psychiatrists, therapists and coaches, psychologists and tutors, attorneys and advocates, teachers and school administrators. 

Rabbi Yarden Blumstein is the head of Teen Engagement at Friendship Circle where he oversees the teen volunteer corps as well as the Umatter campaign. Rabbi Yarden is also involved with multiple other teen initiatives in the community, including Cteen, a project of The Shul.
